Victor-Marie Hugo (February 26 1802–May 22 1885) was a French author, designer, and creative person. He was even a first of the Romantic authors in the French language. His major works include a novels Notre Dame de Paris and Les Misérables, and the big body of poetry.
Life and work Although Hugo is better known to the English-speaking world as a novelist, many assume that it was as a poet that he broke new ground.
